I’m sorry, but I’ve decided it’s time to stop supporting the old antique browser Internet Explorer 6.
As of today, only 13.2% of the visitors are still using this browser, and that’s not enough to encourage me to work so hard to get it working properly in this browser. Users of IE6 or earlier get a warning message now, but still can use this site.
Only 0.1% uses Internet Explorer 5.5, less than 0.1%% uses Internet Explorer 5. No earlier version have been detected.
For the rest, I’m proud to announce that the big majority of the visitors of my site run Firefox, with a total of 56.5%!
Internet Explorer is used by only 24.4% of all visitors, so I’m going to base myself on Firefox most of the time now.
Google Chrome is used by 6.8% of all visitors, while Opera is used by 2.8% of the visitors. Other browsers are Netscape, Safari, Konqueror and Mozilla with a percentage of 3.7%.
5% of all visitors use a browser that couldn’t be recognized by my statistics-system.
About Operating Systems: Windows is used by most visitors, with 70.2% of all visitors using it. Most used is Windows XP, followed by Windows 7. Vista follows after that, with 9.4% of the visitors. After that comes Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003. All of the other versions of Windows, up to Windows 98 are used by each 0.1% of the visitors.
Ubuntu comes second, with 14.5% of all visitors, which isn’t bad for it ![]()
Other Linux (not specified) distributions have 2.8% of all visitors.
Mac OS has 2.7% of all users.
The others are: Fedora Linux (0.4%), Debian (0.2%) and SuSE Linux (0.0?%)
